G-Unit member Lloyd Banks has weighed in on 50 Cent making headlines for being allegedly involved with late night talk show host Chelsea Handler.
In addition to denying having prior knowledge of their ties, Banks discussed his recent appearance on Handler’s “Chelsea Lately” show.
“First off, being on her show was a cool experience,” Banks said in an interview. “I’ve done my share of talk shows so it was cool and she’s definitely in her own lane, she stands out. You just gotta be on point with her. Her job is to make you uneasy. But I definitely appreciate the opportunity and as far as her and 50, I don’t know what that n*gga be doing half the time. He’s like a wait and see type of dude. And it’s cooler like that sometimes. Sometimes when you know what’s going on, the ins and outs, it just becomes like [routine]. So I get to see things from a fan’s perspective sometimes. Of course the big things I’ll know about but it’s the minor things…If I did know [about them], I probably wouldn’t tell you anyway.” (Hard Knock TV)
Last week, 50 explained his public outing with Handler in New Orleans earlier this month.

News that while he and the Chelsea Lately host did get together in New Orleans, romance did not play a part. “We were actually just talking about a film project,” the rapper reveals to E! News. “I think she’s amazing.” So amazing, apparently, that he didn’t just send her some flowers following her VMAs hosting gig, but a whole room full of ’em. Because, you know, that’s just what friends do. Anyway, whether they are dating or not, at least they’re doing a good job at keeping their stories straight. (E! Online)
Handler recently addressed being romantically linked to 50.
“I was with a bunch of friends in New Orleans, and he was one of the friends that was there. I was there for a show. Of course we were the only ones in the picture when there were 20 of us there. It made it look like there was something romantichappening…[We have] nothing romantic. Although I think he’s working on something. Every rapper who has been on the show is working on something with me. At some point I’m going to have to give in.” (Baltimore Sun)
Earlier this month, Handler briefly discussed their date on Twitter.
“Everyone, calm down. I met with mr. Cent about a potential project. There’s nothing to report yet, ill let you know if there is.,” Handler tweeted Wednesday (October 6). (Chelsea Handler’s Twitter)
