While Banks hinted at the announcement, producer Cardiak immediately confirmed the buzz.

Lloyd Banks is currently touring all over the world but he’s ready to feed some new music to us. I still think he needs to promote his previous projects better, first. Shoot a few music videos for example. It almost feels like he hates coming in front of the camera because I can’t think of any other reason why he wouldn’t. Back to the topic. Banks hinted (“getting COLD! out..know what that means??”) on working on the Cold Corner series yesterday and producer Cardiak later confirmed (“Cardiak x @Lloydbanks …… What da f*ck u think is gonna happen!!!!??? #flatline #coldcorner3”) it on Twitter. Cold Corner 3 on the way. (HHNM)

Banks previously hinted at a possible follow-up to 2008’s Halloween Havoc mixtape but never delievered.

“halloween havoc 2?,” Banks tweeted September 17th.

“this Gangsta Grillz is crazy!! coming sooner than u think!!” (Lloyd Banks’ Twitter)

New York Knicks’ star Carmelo Anthony recently gave Banks props for his V6 mixtape’s success.

Carmelo Anthony NY Knicks star & two-time Olympic gold medal winner — took time out to congratulate Lloyd Banks for the platinum success of his latest mixtape, V6. “Big shout-out to the homie Lloyd [Banks] for going platinum on V6. Holla at your boy.” (HHRFD)

Despite the success, G-Unit leader 50 Cent recently downplayed Banks’ V6 release.

“Dropping mixtapes…that was my ’02 strategy. That’s 2002 marketing. That’s old. You did nothing if you did that. Look what I’ve done with The Lost Tape or The Big 10. There’s videos for everything that was on the tapes. If you’re going to just wing it and drop a mixtape…pick the highlights that people like most and shoot ’em. Go shoot the video.” (XXL Mag)
