Incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne's ex-wife, Antonia "Toya" Carter, is reportedly set to tell-all in a new book coming out next year titled Priceless Inspiration.
According to reports, Toya’s written project will serve as motivation toward young women.
The BET reality star of Tiny and Toya will release the book, titled Priceless Inspriation, in February. The book will focus on Toya’s life and the pair’s daughter Reginae, while providing a cautionary tale to young ladies about life, love, relationships and motherhood. (All Hip Hop)
She will also use the book as an opportunity to speak on her relationship with Wayne.
The father of Carter’s daughter, Reginae, is Dwayne Michael Carter, better known as Grammy Award-winning rap star Lil’ Wayne. The couple did not tie the knot until seven years after their daughter’s birth and their marriage lasted only two years and serves as a subject in the ‘Priceless.’ “That relationship has brought me a lot of love and a lot of pain,” Carter said. With her ex-husband locked up for a gun conviction, Toya recently revealed that she and Wayne agreed not to allow their 12-year-old to see him behind bars.
“That’s no place for a kid to go,” says Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Carter [sic] also the mother of Wayne’s 2-year-old son Dewayne III. “[Wayne and I] just decided not to let her go [to Riker’s Island] period. She’s never been. He makes sure he talks to his daughter everyday, talking and writing is enough….[Reginae’s] writing her father a letter and she took pictures for him. When I go visit, I’ll bring it to him,” says Toya. “We may spend [the day] with my father or just together.” (VIBE)
Last March, Toya said their daughter spoke to Wayne daily.
“As long as we’ve been talking or dating I’ve never not been able to pick up the phone and call him no matter what is going on in my life,” she said in an interview. “Now he’s locked up and it’s not like that anymore. As far as my daughter, her and her father have a great relationship. She talks to him every day after school. She can still talk to him but now it’s on a schedule with calls. It’s going to be a change for these 8 months.” (Honey Mag)
Priceless Inspiration is set to be released February 2011.
