Lil Wayne cameraman DJ Scoob Doo is reportedly seeking to place unreleased footage of the incarcerated rapper on a major network like HBO or Spike TV.
According to Scoob, he has never-before-seen clips of Wayne leading up to his one-year Rikers Island jail sentence.
“A media network like HBO could have the best impact because they won’t try to censor it,” he said in an interview. “They push the envelope of what they show. You could just imagine what I could have just being with the team, and being with Wayne on his countdown to jail — and even when he didn’t know he was going to jail. Ever since [the mixtape,] No Ceilings came out, and even before that, it’s a lot of sh*t that I’m trying to catch people up with behind the scenes in what’s goin’ on.” (XXL Mag)
Wayne is currently keeping fans updated with his new website, WeezyThanxYou.com.

Wayne has not been receiving any special treatment in jail.
A rep for the Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association tells us officials issued the no autograph mandate because “Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here.” The rep also tells us Wayne isn’t getting any special treatment while at Rikers — but we’re told the rapper really hasn’t requested anything out of the ordinary. He was officially sentenced to a year behind bars in early March.
Lil Wayne has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty in a New York City gun case. The Grammy Award-winning rapper was taken away in handcuffs to start serving his term immediately after his sentencing. He’ll serve his sentence in city jails, not a state prison. He could be released in about eight months with good behavior. (CBS News)
