Young Money leader Lil Wayne has lent his support toward Nicki Minaj by adding his own twist to her Pink Friday single, “Roman’s Revenge.”
The song surfaced online Monday (January 17) afternoon.
Pink Friday continues to march closer and closer to the million copies sold plateau. Still, that doesn’t mean the surprises from the album have concluded. The “Roman’s Revenge (remix)” which allegedly featured Lil Wayne has been a topic of speculation for weeks now, basically ever since the album itself was released. As we all remember, Weezy was unable to feature on Nicki’s debut because of his concluding prison sentence. Well, wait no more as the song is real. (Karen Civil)
The track displays Wayne’s lyrical wrath alongside Minaj’s original, hard-hitting verses.

Last November, Minaj admitted the song was directed toward rap rival Lil Kim.
It looks like listeners were right all along. While interviewing with Angie Martinez during Hot 97’s VIP Lounge earlier today (November 19), Nicki Minaj finally admitted the target for her collaboration with Eminem, “Roman’s Revenge” is in fact Lil’ Kim. “You gotta be careful when you pick fights,” Minaj said, referring to the Queen Bee. “That’s what I’ve learned in this business. I think people mistake me for a real Barbie and forget where I’m from. They forget where I’m from. And if I have to revert back, I can and I will.” (XXL Mag)
Minaj’s Pink Friday debut has continued to sell records since its November release.
Leading the pack this week is Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday which sold 38,600 records behind Taylor Swift‘s Speak Now (52,000). According to Nielsen SoundScan, the Barbie’s debut album rests at 890,500 sold copies after seven weeks in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
