Lil Wayne Tries To Shoot Down Birdman Over Drake & Nicki Minaj

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly gunning for Cash Money boss Birdman over his mismanagement of superstars Nicki Minaj and Drake.

According to reports, Wayne is going after the music mogul with legal drama.

Lil Wayne filed new docs in his bitter lawsuit trying to oust Birdman from Young Money, the label that signed Nicki and Drake. Wayne says Birdman and Cash Money have grossly mismanaged the company by stiffing lots of people who are owed money, failing to fork over profits and lots of other stuff. Wayne claims the mismanagement is so bad that Nicki and Drake will probably just jump ship. (TMZ)

Last winter, Cash Money rapper Nicki Minaj said the war between mentor Lil Wayne and Baby had a lot to do with music coming out.

“Cash Money is blessed, thank you for asking. We are a family and just like in families, we have our moments. But, you know what, I’ve gotten so much closer to Wayne lately. Wayne is his own person. He’s a businessman and whatever decision Wayne makes, I would never in my life speak against it publicly, even if I didn’t agree. So my thing is, and Baby has always been one of my best friends in the game. They love each other and it’s family. It’ll never go to another level. Everybody loves to hype things up but artists are emotional. We are emotional when it comes to our projects and when it comes to our fans and what our fans want and when they want it and sometimes that causes us to, you know, act emotional.” (Power 106 FM)

Despite the headline-generating dispute, Minaj previously said she did not see their beef exploding the way it did.

“I knew that there was something going on, but I didn’t know Wayne was so mad about that. I think that it may be some other stuff. They just need to figure it out.” (CRWN)

In December 2014, Minaj said Wayne and Baby had an everlasting love for one another despite the feud.

“When you’re at the top, there’s only one place to aim at. Love conquers all. I do know that, no matter what, we’re a family. We’re not always the bestest friends, but we love each other underneath it all. I know Wayne and Baby love each other.
