According to Weezy F. Baby, the Doc shoots over instrumentals and lets him attach his verses to them.

“I’ve always worked with Dre,” Wayne told MTV News on Thursday on his tour bus in Las Vegas. “I’m not sure if you guys know how Dre works, Dre always send you a song, so I done probably did like 90 songs for Dre. You just never know which one he gonna put out.” (MTV)

Last month, Weezy hooked up with Dre and Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine in celebration of his new Beats headphones line.

After ripping the stage with 2 Chainz at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Lil’ Wayne hosted the launch of his Beats Pro headphones at the Playhouse nightclub in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Many heavy hitters graced the red carpet including Dr. Dre, Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine, Wiz Khalifa, A-Trak, DJ Drama, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, LMFAO’s SkyBlu, DJ Stevie J, and more. Shortly following the VMAs, Lil’ Wayne released the song he performed “No Worries” in its mastered quality on iTunes. In April, Wayne revealed plans to drop his own headphones line.

Lil Wayne shows his seriousness in the world of skateboarding, confirming to MTV that he is developing a skate shoe line. The rapper, who makes his fondness of the street sports public, has struck a deal with famous skate brand Supra to have his own sneaker coming out. Not giving a lot of details, Wayne said in his interview with MTV’s “Hip Hop Pov”, “I’ve also signed with Supra,” adding “Dr. Dre Beats, I’ve got my own beats coming out soon. I get money.” The shoe line will be independent of his clothing line Trukfit. (Ace Showbiz)

The Young Money leader has kept busy this week, most notably getting spotted at Game 6 of NLCS playoff game between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants.

If there’s a high-profile sports event going on, chances are strong that rapper Lil Wayne will make his way there. Lil Tunechi was in attendance for Game 6 of the NLCS in San Francisco on Sunday and even sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh-inning stretch. His connection to the Giants is a strange but simple one: he and San Francisco second baseman Ryan Theriot are friends. The two are from Louisiana and are big LSU fans. (Larry Brown Sports)
