Weezy F. Baby acknowledged the 16 year-old sensation as an icon in the making.

Fellow Young Money star Nicki Minaj gave props to Douglas’ show-stealing efforts.

“*kisses to Gabby* what an amazing little firecracker. #USA #Olympics,” she tweeted. (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

The “Boss” shared similar sentiments, publicly bigging up Douglas.

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber showed his support of Team USA.

“CONGRATS to @McKaylaMaroney @jordynmarie2013 @kyla_ross96 @Aly_Raisman @gabrielledoug on your GOLD MEDAL. #BeliebersWinGOLD #Proud” (Justin Bieber’s Twitter)

Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter took to her website to shower Douglas with accolades.

“A huge congratulations to 16 year old Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas – wow – what a thrill to watch you take this gold! I can tell you’ve been working hard for so long – enjoy this moment, its yours. Thank you for inspiring all of us!” (Beyonce)

In just a week’s time, Douglas has become an icon for her gold-winning performances at the London Olympics.

Douglas was described by U.S. team coordinator Marta Karolyi as someone who rose from “an average good gymnast to a fantastic one” in just five months this year. “People keep saying I’m the first black American to win the gold medal and I’m so honored,” the teenager said after her spellbinding victory. Armed with a sassy nickname, a bubbly personality, a megawatt smile and two gold medals with maybe more to come in the apparatus finals, the ‘Flying Squirrel’ already seems to possess the cross-over appeal that has made Tiger Woods and Venus and Serena Williams sporting greats.
