Lil Wayne has published a new blog from Rikers Island giving fans his opinion on recent happenings in the world of sports.
Titled “TSC: McNabb to the Skins…wow!,” Wayne gives insight on former Philadelphia Eagles football player Donavan McNbabb being traded to the Washington Redskins.
“I think this will be a great thing for all involved, except the Eagles. One reason is because I don’t think Andy Reid was ready to part ways with the soon to be 34 year old veteran. He still had a year left on paper with the Eagles, And though I don’t think they would’ve given him an extension, for some reason I think Andy would’ve liked to see Donovan play it out. Although Reid put the word out that he was entertaining offers a few weeks ago to the coaches and GM’s. I don’t think he was the brains behind that move…Congrads to Duke & Coach K, as well as UCONN women and gents. I think both of those guys need new day jobs. More complicated ones. NBA, WNBA!” (Weezy Thanx You)
In his previous post, Weezy thanked fans for their support.
“Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries.” (Weezy Thanx You)
Wayne currently has job duties while serving out his sentence in Rikers Island.
Turns out he is working as a Suicide Prevention Aide patrolling the suicidal inmates in his unit. According to a Riker’s corrections insider there are three SPAs for each unit in the Eric M. Taylor Center where Wayne resides. “He works the midnight shift in his unit,” says the source. “He starts at 11pm and ends at 7am.” And after one month down and possibly 11 more to go, the source says that Wayne still has his panic-button clad escort. “He only works in his unit and all the inmates there have escorts. He’s only accompanied when he leaves that unit. (VIBE)
The rapper’s long-time friend and Cash Money Records’ head Baby recently visited him.
“He been locked down a month,” Birdman said in an interview. “Seven more to go. You know he’s built for that. We been around convicts and killers all our life. We from New Orleans…That’s what the No Ceilings [mixtape] is about. Paradise on Earth. That’s how we living. Sh*t. YM/CMB, we built to last. That’s what makes us. That’s what we built on. That’s just a nap. But when he comes home, best believe, big money poppin’. Big money sh–. Moolah!” (MTV)
