Keeping details to a minimum, Weezy F. Baby revealed the LP is in the works.

With a goal set to become the best skater alive, Lil Wayne appropriately swung through the 2012 X Games yesterday. While there he engaged in some Q&A, and one fan questioned the release of The Carter V, Wayne’s follow-up to last year’s fourth installment of the series. Jake Knudsen (Shelton, Washington): Hey weezy what is your favorite thing about X-Games and when is Carter 5 coming out? Weezy: X-Games is a higher level of competition- I’ve been to a few other contests and this one is the best. Carter 5 will come most likely next year. (Prefix Mag)

Last month, Wayne revealed his upcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album is almost retail-ready.

I Am Not A Human Being II, that’s what I’m workin’ on right now, actually I’m finished. The difference between [this] album and the last I Am Not a Human Being would be the music wasn’t rushed,” Wayne told MTV News on June 16 in Atlanta after he finished performing at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash. “Last time the music was rushed because I had to take that eight-month vacation on that island so we had rushed the music, but this time we didn’t rush the music.” (MTV)

Earlier the same week, the Young Money boss also hinted at what will follow I Am Not A Human Being II.

“I just finished recording my “I Am Not a Human Being II” album. And we’re starting to work on the Young Money album,” Wayne said in an interview before addressing Pusha. “It really wasn’t no beef, you know. It was just me. I just reacted.” (The Washington Post)

Prior to going platinum, Wayne’s Carter IV nearly sold a million copies in its opening week.

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV debuted on the chart this week at No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Weezy’s long-awaited new album has sold 965,300 copies after just a week of availability.
