After yesterday's video release of Eminem and Lil Wayne's "No Love," producer Just Blaze has explained how both Grammy-winning stars linked for the collaboration.

According to Just, he had to travel from state-to-state in order to avoid the duo’s song leaking.

“The song was sitting on my hard drive for a few months,” Just revealed in an interview. “I went down to Miami and brought it to Wayne. We did his part together. He’s real laid back and just kind of on his own plane…He went into the vocal booth for like an hour or two and had his rhyme…I gave [Eminem] the framework of what the record could be about and a couple vocal ideas that I had for the hook. He knocked it out like two days later…After it was completed, I went back and added me singing the ‘No Love’ part.” (VIBE)

Em and Wayne’s visual premiered last night via MTV.

The video opens with a close-up of a sad kid with bruises on his face, presumably from the dodgeballs three bigger guys pelt him with in the next scene. Further scenes of locker-room torment are intercut with Lil Wayne delivering his sharp, sullen opening verse on a smoky all-black set. (Presumably this is yet another of the many video scenes Wayne filmed before starting his Rikers Island sentence.) Eminem, meanwhile, is at a recording studio laying down his even angrier vocals with a very serious expression on his face. Dude is not kidding around! But our young hero is still being harassed by those older jerks. The video goes on like this for a while before the kid, empowered by Em and Weezy’s ferocious lyrics, stands up to his persecutors at last and gives them an epic lunchroom beatdown. A video teaser previously was shown hours prior to its debut.

Even though his Rihanna-assisted smash “Love the Way You Lie” is still top 10 on the charts, Eminem is already on to the next one. The Grammy-winning superstar is set to premiere the video for “No Love” featuring Lil Wayne Thursday at 7:56 p.m. EST on MTV, simultaneously premiering on MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, and MTV Tr3s. “No Love” is the third single off Em’s platinum-selling Recovery, following his two consecutive No. 1 singles “Not Afraid” and “Lie.” The rap titans previously collaborated on Weezy’s Rebirth single “Drop the World” and Drake‘s “Forever.” Set those DVRs now. The duo’s new single is off Em’s Recovery album which is currently dominating the sales charts in over physical purchases.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s Recovery dropped out of Top 5 this week, moving down three slots to No. 6 with with 65,800 while Zac Brown Band‘s You Get What You Give topped the chart with 153,700 sold albums. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Em’s new album has sold 2,656,200 records after 14 weeks in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
