Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly packing his bags and performing tonight (April 26) in Kentucky hours after dodging bullets in Georgia.

According to the official Young Money Twitter account, Wayne is taking center stage in Louisville Sunday evening.

According to reports, the shooting went down following Wayne’s performance at Atlanta’s Compound nightclub.

We’re told Weezy and a few other Young Money execs and artists — including Lil Twist and Hood — were on board at least one of the buses at the time of the shooting. It appears no one was injured, and it’s still unclear if Wayne was on board the bus that was hit. Law enforcement sources tell us immediately after the shooting the bus was driven to a nearby hotel, and that’s when someone in Wayne’s entourage called cops. (TMZ)

Recently, G-Unit’s Young Buck dished on a recent sit-down he had with Wayne.

“My conversation with Wayne was strictly away from any conversation about music. I don’t have a music conversation for Lil Wayne at this point, because I’m more concerned and excited about speaking to him as a person. That’s my brother, you understand what I’m sayin’, and I tell him there’s really no wrong he can do in my eyes. All I want for him to do, whatever you’re doing, just make sure you do it from a happy standpoint, because there’s nothing worse than making moves and doing it from an unhappy perspective, because then you’re left to deal with the repercussions of your own actions.” (XXL Mag)

Ex-Cash Money artist Turk talked to SOHH this week about connecting with Wayne in Tennessee.

“Me and [Lil] Wayne ain’t talked in a long time. We just ran into each other out in Memphis and we sat down to chop it up like old times. We were talking about each other’s kids, sharing a lot of stories. We were laughing. It was all fun. That’s the Lil Wayne that I know. I just think everybody needs to respect his grind and what he’s been doing. At the end of the day, if he chooses to do his own thing, let him do that. It shouldn’t be no problems.” (SOHH)
