Weezy F. Baby said a feeling of boredom inspired him to make a return to the mixtape scene.

“I just felt like it was time. I got bored,” Weezy told DJ Drama when asked about the motivation behind his upcoming mixtape. “Being me, I always feel like I ain’t done nothing yet. So I’m always looking for the next thing ‘to do.’ Other than that, yeah, it does get pretty boring when it comes to just the rapping and all that type of stuff. I’ve done so much of it. I’ve been doing it since I was eight and I’m about to be thirty in September and I’m still rapping. I kind of feel like I’m getting old. [laughs]” (Drama Like The DJ)

Wayne hinted at a Dedication 4 mixtape coming together on July 22nd.

“Dedikation 4 komin next month.,” he tweeted. (Lil Wayne’s Twitter)

Coincidentally, DJ Drama co-signed Wayne’s proclamation with a re-tweet.

‘RT @LilTunechi: Dedikation 4 komin next month.”

“Been sendin alotta beats to the mixtape weezy…” (DJ Drama’s Twitter)

Wayne and Drama’s previous effort landed online in November 2008.

Helping to create a stir of excitement for fans, Weezy and Drama reunited to deliver a packed collection of new records. Officially beginning in 2004 and then in 2006 with “Dedication 2,” the mixtapes have assisted in solidifying the self-proclaimed “Greatest Rapper Alive” to the superstar status he enjoys today and has upped the standards for Drama’s “Gangsta Grillz” series. As previously reported by SOHH’s Dirty blog, snippets and samples of the compilation were played heavily throughout the week with an official announcement of it dropping yesterday. Despite the delayed release, fans may be easily forgiving as they are treated to 23 tracks with guest appearances from Weezy’s latest Young Money signee, mixtape phenom Jae Millz and Drama’s artist Willie the Kid, among others.
