Scrappy also hinted at the rift possibly centering on their past dating fling with R&B star Rihanna.

“Wow…a pop artist and R&B artist. What the f*ck? How can ya’ll have any beef? My take is let the b*tches do what they do. We supposed to be n*ggas, tryna get this money. But at the same time, I know how it feels when you’re heart is broke,” Scrap explained in an interview. “I’d just tell ’em to leave it alone. There’s a billion badd b*tches in this b*tch. There’s so many b*tches that look better than my old girlfriend [Laughs].” (XXL Mag)

Recently, Young Money star Nicki Minaj stood behind her YMCMB labelmate.

“Oh my God. You know, Young Money ’til the death of me. I don’t approve of talented people doing things that aren’t conducive to an amazing career,” Minaj told radio host Tim Westwood. “But you know, I spoke to Drake, and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt. I’m like, ‘Baby, you are a superstar, and I need you to realize that.’ He did nothing wrong, of course. You know, rumors are rumors, and that’s what it is. I just told him it’s time to remember who you are. Not that he did anything wrong, just, that, sometimes, you might just need to go to bed, have an early nap, you know. Go to the hotel, it’s nothing wrong with that, I do it all the God d*mn time.” (“Tim Westwood TV”)

Cash Money boss Birdman also recently defended Drake in light of club fight accusations.

“Well, to me, I think n—as got Drake twisted. A lot of n—as be playin’, pitty-pattin’ with Drake. I don’t like that sh–, period,” Birdman said to us in an exclusive interview. “Drake is one of us, so if you f—in’ with Drake, you f—in’ with us, period!” Birdman wasn’t in attendance when the fight broke out at W.I.P. in NYC, but firmly believes the Take Care MC did nothing wrong. Drake alleges he wasn’t involved in the melee, which left a number of people injured including one of Brown’s bodyguards and NBA player Tony Parker. “To me, Drizzy ain’t did nothin’ wrong, he ain’t done nothin’ wrong to nobody. He just doin’ great music,” Bird said in defense of his artist. “He’s not a reckless guy out there just wildin’ out; he’s a humble kid makin’ great music.” (MTV)

A few weeks ago, Drizzy hinted at the incident during a Long Island concert.

With extra security in place, Drizzy alluded to the bottle-throwing incident early in his performance. “When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things,” he told the crowd of 15,000. “But the only thing I gave a f**k about was that I was in New York City tonight.” A couple songs later, he brought up the topic again. “You were having a good night so far, you done had a couple drinks, you done met a couple thangs, and then the ni**a in the corner start looking at you funny and you feel a motherfu**in’ way about it. And then somebody going to the bathroom bumps you with their elbow and you like, ‘What the f**k?’ At that time in my life, there’s really only one ni**a that I wanna hear,” said the Young Money rapper, before Waka Flocka joined him for “Round of Applause.” (Rap-Up)
