Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy recently discussed his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Diamond and how the young femcee ran away with his heart last year.
Scrappy said he felt crushed after their publicized 2011 break-up .
“When that Diamond situation happened, it just taught me a real valuable lesson, ’cause I know, as I can see, I’m not a good judge of character,” he said when he appeared on Wednesday’s (June 20) “RapFix Live.” Scrappy — who put out his first album, Bred 2 Win Born 2 Live, in 2004 with Lil Jon‘s BME and 50 Cent‘s G-Unit labels — was helping his then-girlfriend get her career on track. After the couple broke up, he realized he needed to re-examine his life. “I ain’t never had my little heart broken before, but now that it happened, I don’t think it would happen for a long time,” he said. “But the good side about that is, you don’t put nobody before God, don’t ever put nobody before God, and I think I did a little bit of that trying to help her.” (MTV)
Last year, Scrappy said they quietly separated before the media found out.
“We ain’t been together so I can’t say nothing, you feel me,” Scrappy said in an interview referring to Diamond. “We keep it closed in, you feel me? When people see that, they observe and see different things. I can’t help what people see…When I see the picture [of them together] it’s like, ‘OK, wow. OK, cool.’ It really don’t do nothing to me. You feel me? … I’m into making money right now and that’s what she was into doing and I guess [Soulja Boy] is into doing. Everybody’s into making money but at the end of the day, you can’t help when two people like each other. You feel me? … I been kicking it with her for a minute but we’ve both been openly dating. I’m sure y’all are gonna see some pictures of some [of my girls]. You feel me? Shorty gotta get her money. However shorty gotta get her money — and shorty is young. If she out with that dude, that dude and that dude, they can’t judge her…” (“Dirty Boyz”)
A day prior, Scrappy’s mother, Mama D, voiced her grievances with Diamond.
“She lied like a motherf*cker! Called Scrappy back, talking about ‘I was just hanging out with him.’ Whoo! I want to put my hand around that b*tch throat. I want you to go on the radio and say ‘Mama D is angry because you don’t mess with Mama D son.’ But you know what ladies and gentlemen? Her son is doing good. The Prince of the South is still the reigning prince because he’s chill like that, he’s gonna keep it pimpin’. It’s f’d up how she did it — low down dirty b*tch…She gonna give it up like that, she might as well get some money for it h*e. Scrappy, Mama D, we gonna keep it G, you heard me? Let the radio know that Scrappy the Prince of the South is still the reigning Prince and he’s chilling on South Beach, okay, with a beautiful lady. He ain’t stunting that sh*t there, he’s all good.” (Hot 107.9)

According to ATL blogger, Freddy O, Soulja Boy was seen getting super comfy and cozy with the self proclaimed 32 flavors ATL rapper, Diamond, during his Dub Car Show appearance. Although both are on the brink of pure irrelevancy (they may already be there, depending on who you ask), I must admit that I HOPE Scrappy tweets/interviews about it.
