A week after Lil' Kim's pregnancy announcement, her close friend and reality television personality Jennifer Dalton has revealed how much of an anchor she has been for the Queen Bee.
According to Dalton, she has helped Kim through the pregnancy with tons of personal assistance.
“I’ve been helping her with everything — anything that she needs I’m there. I go with her to the doctor’s appointments, the ultrasounds,” the entertainer’s best friend of 20 years Jennifer Dalton tells Us Weekly. “If she has cravings, we go get it for her — certain things that she just wants and needs, I’ll help her go get it.” Among those cravings, Dalton says, are veggie pizza, steak, fruits, and veggies. “I have to give her all these pillows. She tucks herself in between them… She has 2 behind her head, one by her chest, one between her legs, two on her back — she’s just cuddled in between pillows. All you see is little Lil’ Kim in the fetal position with pillows everywhere. It’s very cute!” (Us Magazine)
The television actress also spoke on why Kim waited so long before having a baby.
And for those doubting the “Lighters Up” performer’s mommy abilities, Dalton shuts them down. “She is very, very good with kids. She loves kids! And she’s such a great godmother. She’s my daughter’s godmother; she has three godkids. That’s how great of a godmother she is — everybody wants her!” “She’s always wanted to have a child,” Dalton explained of the rapper, who will not be finding out the baby’s gender ahead of time. “But because she’s been so busy working and with her career, it’s never been the right time and now — she’s like, I want a child, this is my time, I’m going to have this child, I’m going to be a great mother, and I’m going to have a great career after my child.” (Us Magazine)
A few days ago, rapper Mr. Papers appeared to take responsibility for Kim’s child.
Shortly after Kim’s pregnancy made headlines, Mr. Papers posted a snap of himself on the photo-sharing site. “I heard everybody looking for me?????????????????” he wrote. Calling himself “Daddy” on Twitter, the New York-based rapper also retweeted news about Kim’s pregnancy as well as congratulatory messages. “Congratz on the royal baby!” a tweet read, to which he answered, “Royal is a good name for the lil homie.” He also thanked another person who congratulated him on the baby news. Reports also claimed the music duo have had an on-again, off-again relationship dating back two years ago.
She tweeted back in 2012 that she and Papers had broken up, thanking her fans for all their love and support and writing, “As of 2night me & Papers are officially over. No malice or bad blood. I’ll see U guys soon. #12DaysofXmas.” To which he replied, “@LilKim don’t be so mad you fighting with ya self… Get ya facts str8 lol.” But the couple obviously reconciled at some point: He collaborated on her remix of Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” and starred with her in the music video that came out last March, and he once again was being referred to as her boyfriend.
