Southern producer/rapper Lil Jon was spotted in New York City yesterday selling pizzas for a local Manhattan Italian restaurant.

Jon was one of many celebrity musicians serving pizzas in Midtown yesterday.

Meat Loaf, Lil Jon, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray and John Rich of country duo Big & Rich were among the celebrities selling pies at Famiglia’s Pizza in downtown New York on Tuesday (Oct. 19). The stunt, which attracted a growing crowd of onlookers throughout the day, was part of a television shoot widely rumored to be for the upcoming season of Donald Trump‘s NBC reality franchise, “Celebrity Apprentice.” Lil Jon, Busey and Rich stood outside the pizzeria and held up signs promoting the sale of the “celebrity” pizza, with the proceeds for each pie going to charity. The rapper’s pizza flipping was reportedly for the taping of “Celebrity Apprentice.”

The taping of “The Celebrity Apprentice” officially began rolling on Tuesday, October 19 when the stars were out selling pizzas for charity. As usual, the very first task in the reality show is a battle of gender and it revolves around food. The show had previously assigned celebrities to sell hot dogs, cup cakes and burgers. Yesterday’s event also drew support from teenage singer Justin Bieber.

“If u r in NYC 2morrow my dude @LilJon is selling pizza from 11am-3pm at Famiglia Pizzeria on 757 Broadway for charity! Support!,” Bieber tweeted Tuesday (October 19). (Justin Bieber’s Twitter)

Last week, it was reported that Jon would be one of many casted members for “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Leaks are flying for the upcoming “Celebrity Apprentice” and Atlanta looks to be represented, courtesy of rapper Lil Jon. TMZ broke the news that Mr. “Get Low” will join steroids-pumped former baseball player Jose Canseco, “Survivor” winner Richard Hatch, supermodel Niki Taylor. Three other names were leaked yesterday: former “View” talker Star Jones, LaToya Jackson and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
