Boosie and rap sidekick Webbie’s new visual features a handful of cameo appearances.

Following his release from prison last month, Lil Boosie gets right back to work by dropping the video for “Show Da World” featuring Webbie and singer Kiara. From L.A. to London, the Baton Rouge rapper shows love to his fans and Trill Fam across the globe, and in return, they hold him down. “As for my fans, I love ya’ll, straight up / Ya’ll a part of me so when they hate, they hate us,” he raps. The black-and-white clip, directed by G. Visuals, also features cameos from his friends including DJ Drama, Slim Thug, Bobby V, Paul Wall, and more. (Rap-Up)

Recently, Webbie spoke out on Boosie’s March jail release.

Lil Boosie was released early by prison officials because of his good behavior behind bars … but Boosie’s friend Webbie thinks the rapper was really sprung by a much higher power than the warden. Webbie hails from Louisiana, just like Boosie, and tells TMZ it was the hand of God that opened the prison doors — “I told Boo that God has a plan. He got my brother free.” Part of God’s plan … according to Webbie includes laying down tracks — he says now that LB is sprung … they’re going straight into the studio to start making music together again. Webbie says he plans to surprise Boosie at home in Baton Rouge … and then the whole town’s gonna celebrate Boosie’s freedom. (TMZ)

Bad Azz became a free man in early March.

Rapper Lil Boosie, whose real is Torrence Hatch, walked out of prison a free man Wednesday evening, after being locked up for more than four years. Warden Burl Cain said Hatch was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola at 7:10 p.m. He was then transferred to a West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office facility in St. Francisville, where family members were waiting for him. “It’s a blessing for him to be home,” said fan Clifford Jackson. “He went through the struggle, he’s home and just wish him the best.” (WAFB News)

The Southern rapper recently talked about his fame and wanting to reach rap mogul Jay Z‘s high-profile status.

While he was behind bars, the 31-year-old become a rap champion of sorts, and now that the “Free Boosie” movement can happily quell, the Louisiana native wants to lift himself to “Jay Z status,” he tells BET.com. In the future, he aspires to spread out in different directions, like Hov has done with the Roc Nation record label, in addition to sports, film, and management ventures. Climbing up to Jay’s level is a slow journey, and one that Bossie says he’s ready for. “I know it’ll take a little time.” (BET)
