Lil B Singles Out Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports Star: “Waiting For That 1 On 1 Game”

Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant is once again being singled out as West Coast rapper Lil B has publicly challenged him to a basketball face-off.

Resorting to Twitter this page, the Based God questioned why KD has been opting out of the challenge.

“BEEN PRACTIING ON THE COURT WAITING FOR @KDTrey5 WAITING FOR THAT 1 ON 1 GAME, I NO THEY NOT BOUT THAT PLAY KEVIN NOT BOUT THAT PLAY – Lil B,” Lil B tweeted November 26.

“if u aint about that play never call that call @kdtrey5 IM BASKETBALL LIFE FOREAL KEVIN REMBER THAT IM GOING TO THE HOLE FOWARD – Lil B” (Lil B’s Twitter)

Last year, Lil B shocked fans after taking part in a D-League try-out.

Last month, Lil B let the world know that he was planning on trying out for the Golden State Warriors. And, over the weekend, he stayed true to his word. Er, sort of. In actuality, The Based God didn’t try out for the Golden State Warriors; he tried out for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the D-League affiliate of the Warriors. But, hey, that’s still pretty impressive, right? Er, again, sort of. As you can see in the video above (which, unfortunately, does not feature Lil B), there was also a 76-year-old man in attendance at the tryouts. And, as it turns out, anyone willing to fork over 100 bucks was allowed to tryout for the team. (Complex)

Lil B kept fans updated with his try-out through a series of Twitter posts.

“At the nba warriors tryouts right now just did a interview for the news, love to the whole golden state warriors staff i love yall – Lil B,” he tweeted Sunday (October 14).

“ITS CRAZY CUZ I THOUGHT COACH WUD BE PLAYING ME AS THE 1 AT NBA TRY OUTS TODAY BUT HE WANTED ME AT THE 2, TODAY WAS #BASED HISTORY – Lil B” (Lil B’s Twitter)

In late September 2012, the West Coast rapper revealed his hoop dreams.

“I wanna let you know ima be trying out for the nba golden state warriors in october lets stay #based and positive – Lil B,” he tweeted September 26th.

“WHOS SOME OF THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN MINNEAPOLIS ??!!!! I WANNA HAVE SOME FULL COURTS DM ME IF YOU NBA OR TOP IN STATE – Lil B” (Lil B’s Twitter)

In summer 2012, he reportedly became involved in a small melee with Kevin Durant.

It started during the playoffs last year when KD called Lil’ B a “wack” rapper. You know how rappers love them a celebrity beef to up their profile, you had a feeling this was not going to die Now Lil B has a new video out called “Warm Ups” on which he calls out Durant. So Durant took to twitter and said “Yo shut up.” I like it. I think the “yo” really makes it. Durant stuck with that theme in his next tweet: “Yo leave me alone lol, if you wanna play me you gotta come to OKC I’m not coming to Oakland.” Actually, Durant will be in Oakland on Jan. 23 because Golden State’s Oracle Arena is in Oakland, but that’s nit picking. Besides, Lil B was all down with coming out to the OKC to play and tweeted: “”So book a ticket to OKC for this Monday? @KDTrey5 I WILL BE THERE FLIGHT IN THE MORNING, AND PREP.” (NBC Sports: Pro Basketball Talk)
