NBA free agent Lamar Odom has stepped forward to clear the air on why he was a no-show for this week's publicized marriage proposal between friend Kanye West and sister-in-law Kim Kardashian.
Despite speculation suggesting he was not invited, Odom claims he decided not to attend the memorable night in San Francisco.
Lamar Odom tells TMZ he hasn’t been blackballed from the Kardashian family — and WAS invited to Kanye’s big proposal to Kim — but he CHOSE not to go because he had better things to do that night. It was just one of the topics Lamar addressed on his way out of the Spitting Chicken Cantina in Sherman Oaks, CA last night … telling us about his friendship with Kobe, his relationship with his dad and his battle to get back into the NBA. In fact, L.O. says he believes he’s back in playing shape — telling us, “I can play a basketball game and probably play really well.” He wanted to prove it by showing off his physique — jokingly asking, “Do you wanna see me with my shirt off or my pants down?” (TMZ)
Earlier this month, Odom’s rap pal Game denied rumors which suggested he may have hooked up with his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian.
Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Lamar Odom may be on the rocks, but that doesn’t mean she’s seeking comfort in the arms of another man. After she was spotted hanging out with The Game, rumors swirled that the two were more than just friends. But the rapper, 33, tells Us Weekly that’s not the case. “The pictures that you see of us out together are because she is part of my 60 Days of Fitness team,” he tells Us exclusively. “Khloe is my friend. She is like a sister. We have never [slept together] and will never be sleeping together.” Odom is a pal, too, he says. “Lamar is my homie and her husband,” The Game tells Us. “I wish people wouldn’t spread such false rumors.” (Us Magazine)
Last year, KimYe attended a Los Angeles Clippers game to watch Lamar play.
During the final NBA game of the league’s traditional Christmas Day slate, the Kardashian Klan was seen sitting courtside as they cheered on the Clippers and Khloe’s husband Lamar Odom. Alongside Odom’s wife Khloe was mom Kris, sister Kim and her rapper boyfriend Kanye West. Notably absent, at least from the best seats in the house, was Bruce Jenner. Jenner was seated one row back from the rest of his family, conveniently stationed between two gorgeous women, adding fuel to the rumors that the reality TV power couple could be heading straight for splitsville. Sweet Yeezus! Kanye West swooped into San Francisco Monday night and proposed to Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday, E! News reported early Tuesday morning. The rapper, 36, popped the question to the mother of his child at AT&T Park, which was rented out for Kardashian’s big day, the site reported. Having received future mother-in-law Kris Jenner‘s blessing, West proposed to Kardashian with a 15-carat diamond ring made by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. (New York Daily News)
