Despite their past wax battles, Lady said she could understand the frustrations Remy is experiencing while incarcerated.

“As far as her legal woes are concerned, I don’t wish that on no one,” Lady told SOHH referring to Remy Ma’s eight-year jail sentence. “You know what I mean? It’s trying on people mentally, I know especially for her, because she had her career, her child and regardless of whatever happened between her and I, I never wish that on nobody. I don’t wish that on nobody because I did a punk a** 110 days [behind bars] and I know I was in there dying. So eight years, six years year, whatever. Regardless of what happened between us, I couldn’t wish that on her. My heart goes out to her in her situation.” (SOHH)

Last week, Dipset’s Juelz Santana spoke on Remy’s legal problems.

“Free Remy,” Juelz said in an interview with renowned radio personality Steph Lova. “It’s an unfortunate situation. They trying to put me in a similar situation, God forbid. But you know, Remy’ll be home soon. She’s strong, strong. She’s stronger than a lot of n*ggas out there. So I know she’s holding her her, I know she’s good.” (Vlad TV)

Remy made headlines after an appeal was rejected in a New York courtroom.

New York’s top court has upheld the conviction of rapper Remy Ma in the shooting of a friend in 2007. In a ruling Thursday, the Court of Appeals rejected arguments that a judge didn’t properly inform jurors before they rendered a guilty verdict. The rapper’s real name is Remy Smith. She’s serving eight years in prison for criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of assault stemming from the struggle in which a friend was shot. Smith had accused the friend of stealing $3,000 from her pocketbook. (My Fox News)

Lady Luck is widely known for her 2006 microphone battle against Remy.

“I knew I won,” Lady Luck said in the interview. “Shout out to Remy Ma because we over this sh*t, hopefully. But I knew I won the battle and so did a lot of other people at first, but when it started to blow up, a lot of n**gas jumped ship.” (“Star & Bucwild”)
