NBA player Kris Humphries is not keeping mum on getting played by ex-wife Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend/rapper Kanye West on the "Way Too Cold" anthem and has shot back at Yeezy over Twitter this week.

Humphries took to the social network and taunted Ye’s “Way Too Cold” line where the Chicago rapper boasts he could have had Brooklyn Nets minority owner Jay-Z drop him last season.

“I’m up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ “lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team” lol!,” he tweeted July 17th. (Kris Humphries’ Twitter)

Humphries’ remark came the same day he inked a new Brooklyn Nets contract.

Power forward Kris Humphries agreed to return to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, the team announced. The Nets didn’t disclose terms, but a source close to the situation told ESPN.com’s Marc Stein that Humphries agreed to a two-year, $24 million contract. “Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years,” Nets general manager Billy King said in a statement. “He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back.” (ESPN New York)

The newly re-signed Net also poked fun at Mr. West last May.

Kris Humphries is taking jabs at Kanye in a new Funny or Die skit. Yeezy referenced the basketball player and Kim Kardashian’s former husband on his track “Way Too Cold.” “And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim/Around the same time, she fell in love with him/Well, that’s cool, baby girl do your thing/Lucky I didn’t have Jay drop him from the team,” he rapped. In response, the Nets player has released a skit in which he mocks ‘Ye, who is now dating Kim. “Guys this feels terrible,” said Humphries wearing a pair of Kanye’s signature sunglasses. “Well, that’s cause you have the wrong sunglasses. We don’t want you to look like an a**hole, we want you to look like a douchebag,” responded his prospective managers while mocking Yeezy’s “Runaway.” (VIBE)

In April, Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov stood up for Humphries in light of Ye’s diss.

West, whose blossoming relationship with Humphries’ ex-wife, Kim Kardashian , has been grabbing headlines, declared his love for the reality star on the track. The song, which leaked April 5, features a cheap shot at Humphries. “Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team,” West boasts on the tune, inferring that he has enough influence over Nets minority owner and buddy Jay-Z to affect Humphries’ future with the team. According to the Nets’ principal owner, however, West can’t touch Humphries. “Kris has nothing to worry about,” Prokhorov said. “I support my players, and I’m on his side in this epic battle.” Although Hova has gotten a lot of press indicating that he’s an owner of the Nets, his stake in the team is minuscule compared to Prokhorov’s. The Russian businessman, who’s back in town after a losing bid for president in his native country, paid $200 million for 80% of the NBA team in 2010. Jay-Z reportedly purchased a $4.5 million stake in the Nets in 2004. (New York Daily News)
