Bone Thugs-N-Harmony‘s member Krayzie Bone has reportedly had a change of heart after getting arrested this summer on a driving under the influence charge by now pleading not guilty.
According to reports, Bone is not owning up to the charge and will appear back in court next month.
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony rapper Krayzie Bone insists he wasn’t driving drunk when he was arrested over the summer, pleading “not guilty” to DUI today … TMZ has learned. As we first reported, Krayzie was arrested in late July on suspicion of DUI … after cops pulled him over in L.A. during a routine traffic stop. According to police, the rapper bombed his field sobriety test and later blew over .10 on the breathalyzer. The legal limit in California is .08. Krayzie’s due back in court on October 5th. (TMZ)
In July, Bone acknowledged his big mistake following the publicized DUI arrest.
Krayzie tells us, “I was just riding home late and got into a little trouble with the law. It is what it is. It happens sometimes. I’m cool now. I’m going home.” He added, “First time it has ever happened to me. So lesson learned.” We asked if he’d be sure to get a driver next time. Bone responded, “Yeah, that’s the best thing to do.” (TMZ)
He also hopped on Twitter to defend his image in light of the arrest reports.
“They said I was riding dirty but I was simply tryna make it home after a hard day in the studio!,” he tweeted Saturday (July 28). (Krayzie Bone’s Twitter)
After getting booked, Bone’s bail bond was reportedly set for a few thousand dollars.
The 39-year-old rapper, whose real name is Anthony Henderson, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, near the Ventura (101) Freeway, said Los Angeles police Officer Rosario Herrera of the Media Relations office. Henderson was booked for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, Herrera said. He was held on $5,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s department. (Daily News)
