NBA champion Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa Bryant have decided to call off plans to legally separate and announced their divorce proceedings are now kaput through multiple forms of social media.
Vanessa broke the news to her fans by using popular photo-sharing application Instagram.
Vanessa Bryant announced the couple’s decision via the social network Instagram, stating that she and the Los Angeles Lakers’ star are back together. “We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled,” Vanessa Bryant’s Instagram post said. “Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together. Kobe & Vanessa.” (ESPN)
Kobe confirmed the announcement through his Facebook page.
“I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family. When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers! Much luv, Mamba out.” (Kobe Bryant’s Facebook)
Coincidentally, Vanessa also used Instagram earlier this month to address rapper Drake speaking on her relationship to Kobe during their temporary 2012 split in a song.
“I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life. […] I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone’s clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family’s heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It’s a partnership. Since my husband isn’t friends with Drake, we received a text of an apology forwarded from his manager. Initial reports of Vanessa not going through with a divorce bubbled online last summer.
Vanessa Bryant will NOT sign documents to make her divorce final … at least for now … because TMZ has learned, she and Kobe are working on a full reconciliation. We’ve learned Kobe and Vanessa are trying to work out the issues that caused her to file for divorce back in December. They spend a lot of time together but he has not officially moved back in with her. Under California law, Vanessa has to wait 6 months before she can file final docs making the divorce official. The 6-month mark hits this weekend, so Vanessa could end the marriage as early as Monday … but we know she won’t. Now here’s the deal. We’re told Kobe and Vanessa have had their ups and downs since she filed for divorce … and there’s nothing stopping her from filing final divorce papers at some point in the future if things don’t work out. One more thing. If Kobe and Vanessa end up living together … it will be in one of her 3 mansions, because he signed over all the deeds to her while they were working out divorce details. (TMZ)
