While the Black Mamba has kept quiet about his personal feelings toward D-12’s move, he did immediately unfollow the fellow All-Star on Twitter.

Kobe Bryant is pissed at Dwight Howard … so much so he did the worst possible thing you can do to a person … he UNFOLLOWED HIM ON TWITTER. Pause for reaction. That’s right, just after Howard announced he was ditching the L.A. Lakers for greener pastures … i.e. the Houston Rockets … Kobe made sure to axe D12 from his Twitter feed. Fellow Laker Pau Gasol also unfollowed Howard — but reportedly changed his mind 20 mins later. Which is kind of more pathetic, yeah? (TMZ)

After weeks of speculation, Howard announced his big news Saturday.

“I’ve decided to become a member of the Houston Rockets. I feel its the best place for me and I am excited about joining the Rockets and I’m looking forward to a great season. I want to thank the fans in Los Angeles and wish them the best.”,” Howard tweeted July 6th.

He also cited his chances of winning a championship in Houston for motivating him to leave an additional $30 million Lakers offer.

“[A championship is] the priority. That’s the priority. [Shoot], I’m betting $30 million on it,” Howard told ESPNLosAngeles.com in a phone interview Friday night, referencing the amount of money he likely will leave on the table by bolting Los Angeles for Houston. “I just looked at both teams and I felt like Houston was going in one direction — they got a lot of young players, they got a good coach in Kevin McHale and I just felt like having him as a coach, he could really help me in the post and help me develop like I want to. That was mainly the big reason right there, and having the opportunity to grow with a team, a young team, like the Rockets. That’s the reason why [I decided to leave].” (ESPN)

A few days ago, Houston rapper Slim Thug stood behind publicly campaigning for D-12 to join the Rockets.

“I was trying to tell him the best things, from my standpoint; I know the Rockets ran a lot of good things by him [in their pitch to the big man], but I was talking in terms of women,” Thug told MTV News. “Obviously he loves women, and if you love women, Houston is a great place, D. I seen your baby mama on ‘Basketball Wives,’ and there’s plenty out here that are way better than her that I’m sure he would enjoy. Not only that, we got the best strip clubs … Houston’s a real big, beautiful city.” (MTV)
