Reality television star Kim Kardashian's infamous sex tape, Kim K Superstar, nearly vanished into thin air last weekend in Los Angeles due to a fire at production company Vivid Entertainment's headquarters.
According to reports, the master version and other notable celebrity homemade clips were nearly toasted.

The master — think of it as the Mona Lisa of sex tapes — was secured in a safe inside Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch’s office. When the blaze erupted Saturday night … Hirsch was miles away at an L.A. Clippers game. Hirsch got the 911 call and bailed immediately, because the safe not only contains Kim’s tape but every unedited master of every celebrity sex tape in Vivid’s stable, including the ones starring Kendra Wilkinson, Pam and Tommy Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Vince Neil, Tom Sizemore, and Chyna. Also in the vault — several celebrity sex tapes that have never seen the light of day. Fear not … because Hirsch made it just in the nick of time. The safe was singed but the contents were intact. The steamy footage received a shout-out from Kim’s boyfriend Kanye West on last year’s “Clique” record.
Kanye’s lyrics for his new song “Clique” do address Kim’s sex tape. He raps, “Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie.” It sounds like he is actually proud of Kim Kardashian for making a career out of a sex tape without actually relying on sex tapes for income. In addition, he has been singing about white dresses and calling Kim perfect, so it sounds like Kanye is informing everyone that Kim is there to stay with him. (Examiner)

In the latest episode of the messy split, Humphries’ supposed ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj is said to be releasing some juicy tidbits of Kardashian gossip that the NBA player spilled during their brief relationship. Chief among the damning comments? That Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner was the mastermind behind Kim’s now-infamous 2003 sex tape with Ray J, the one that launched her into the public consciousness. Back in 2010, her ex-boyfriend Ray J‘s mother questioned how the x-rated footage surfaced.
“They were dating for five years, they were in love but I always said “What you don’t want people to see, you don’t do” regardless of how much you love someone..but [the sex tape] somehow surfaced.
