Mega reality star Kim Kardashian has issued an official statement nearly 24 hours after boyfriend Kanye West announced they were expecting a baby heading into next year.
Kim K took to her personal blog to address the hype and anticipation to building a family alongside Yeezy.
“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo” (Kim Kardashian’s Blog)
According to reports, Kardashian had no idea Ye would publicly announce the news Sunday (December 30) night.
Sources close to Kim, who were at the concert, tell us Kim had “no idea” Kanye was going to tell the world she’s knocked up. We’re told she and Kanye had not discussed announcing it — and, in fact, had planned to say nothing until she started showing. According to our sources, Kanye was moved to blab on stage because Kim’s BFF and her mom were at the show — along with several of Kanye’s family members. Kim didn’t seem to mind the surprise — we’re told she was crying tears of joy when Kanye revealed they’re expecting, and was especially moved because he did it during one of her fave songs … “Lost in the World.” (TMZ)
Yeezy came clean on their expectation of a bundle of joy in 2013 amongst thousands of concertgoers.
The rapper announced at a concert Sunday night that his girlfriend is pregnant. He told the crowd of more than 5,000 at Revel Resort’s Ovation Hall in song form: “Now you having my baby.” The crowd roared. And so did people on the Internet. The news instantly went viral on Twitter and Facebook, with thousands posting and commenting on the expecting couple. (CBS News)
In the past, Kanye spoke on wanting to find love and start a family.
“I’m a hopeless romantic and I’m looking and trying to decide who the mother of my child will be. It’s not going to be based off a whim of being in love; she has to bring a certain level to the table.
