After shocking the world by bringing out rap star Kanye West at his annual OVO Fest earlier this month, Young Money's Drake and Yeezus' relationship appears to have gone up a notch thanks to new footage from Kim Kardashian.
In new footage released by the reality celeb, Drake is shown having dinner with Yeezy and friends.
Kim Kardashian just had what she has termed “#JustARegularFamilyDinner.” Sharing a scene of the dinner using Keek, we can hear the powerful vocals of Pia Mia Perez entertaining the family. Perez is friends with Kylie Jenner, who just celebrated her Sweet Sixteen with a bang. The camera then pans left to show Kanye West looking on admiringly at the performance, and then it pans to the right where Drake happens to be sitting, grooving along to the breathtaking acapella. A couple of weeks after Drake and Kanye appeared together at OVO Fest, the two are now sharing a meal together. And to think, the two were believed to be subliminally dissing each other for years. Over the weekend, Drake came through for Kim K’s sister Kris Jenner’s Sweet 16 birthday party.
Kylie Jenner was surprised by rappers Drake and Big Sean on Saturday night when they performed at the reality TV star’s 16th birthday bash. The youngest of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians siblings celebrated her official sweet 16 a week ago with an intimate dinner with family and friends, but Jenner pulled out all the stops for a second celebration on Saturday. Held at the AT&T Center in Los Angeles, she hosted an Alice in Wonderland-themed party, complete with her extended family and famous friends, including rumoured boyfriend Jaden Smith, actress Hailee Steinfeld, Tyga and Naya Rivera. Drake was a big surprise when he hit the stage to perform his single All Me with Big Sean. During his impromptu appearance, Drake put his gold chains around the birthday girl’s neck. (Canoe)
Earlier this month, Drizzy revealed how much he appreciated Kanye for coming out to show support his OVO Fest.
“In rap, sometimes we don’t communicate enough,” Drake explained. “Me and Kanye, we hadn’t even talked before we got on stage together. We didn’t rehearse or anything like that. That was my first time seeing him, on stage. Hiw words, that was a moment I clicked out. I don’t know if this is real or not. I’m not sure if I’m still sleeping from the morning, like, I’m dreaming about how this is working out, probably the most important moment in my life today. At the end of the day, I do look up to ‘Ye, he’s a major influence if not the biggest influence in my career.” (Revolt)
During the actual concert, Ye applauded Drizzy for showing love to Toronto and also said his joint Jay Z Watch the Throne 2011 album was fueled by the 26-year-old.
“It’s been a lot of rappers that came in the game that wasn’t able to do something like this for their city,” Kanye said during the concert. “Me and Hov would have never made Watch the Throne if this n*gga wasn’t putting pressure on us like that.” (OVO Fest)
