A former Georgia police officer has reportedly lost his job after appearing in Southern rapper Killer Mike‘s music video.

Reports claim Officer Floyd Sawyer used a ski mask and his own vehicle in Mike’s video.

According to former Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept. Officer Floyd Sawyer’s personnel record, he was fired from the department for appearing in a rap video with his squad car and uniform and then lying to his superiors about it. The rap video was for artist Killer Mike and Sawyer is seen in a ski mask with his squad car in the background with the lights on. In the personnel file, Sawyer admits to being in the video. Sawyer’s participation in the video was not authorized by the department documents say. (KLTV News)

Aside from the music video, Sawyer was arrested earlier this week on drug-related charges.

Sawyer, 44, was arrested on a criminal complaint – he has not been indicted – and charged with drug trafficking and extortion while working in full uniform as an off-duty security guard at Club Deja-Groove, 302 Williamson St. He allegedly acted with at least one other metro officer working off duty, according to an affidavit filed by FBI Agent Joshua Hayes. “@broadwaydolla I was watching white POP.kids do it…the next leaders of this country…the tweet means no more bias homie No north hate.”
