Former G.O.O.D Music stud Kid Cudi has shown not even a rowdy fan can kill his high as footage of Cudder pushing an over-excited concertgoer off his stage during a Texas concert this week has surfaced.
In the footage, Cudi puts his hands to work when a fan tries to get a little too close to his decked-out stage.
Kid Cudi has been on the road for about a month headlining The Cud Life tour. While performing in Houston, Texas, a fan ran out on stage. Cudder quickly pushed the fan off stage and returned to performing “CuDi Zone.” (The Masked Gorilla)
After the concert, Cudder hopped onto his Twitter page to give a shout-out and appeared to make note of the incident.
“HOUSTON I HAD AN AMAZING TIME WITH U. BULLSH*T ASIDE, THIS NIGHT DEF GOES DOWN IN THE BOOKS! LOVE U ALL OF COURSE 🙂 SHINE ON,” he tweeted October 16. (Kid Cudi’s Twitter)
Earlier this year, Cudi talked about his break-up with G.O.O.D Music and said he made sure to let ex-boss Kanye West know he wanted to maintain a strong relationship.
“I overthink sh– all the time. I’m just emotional,” he added, laughing. Cudi broke the news to fans early in April, saying that he’d even reached out to Jay-Z for advice on how to broach the subject with Kanye, but once it was done with, there were no hard feelings and he and ‘Ye still have plans to work together. “In the last email he sent me, he was just like, ‘Yo, come out to Paris and work,’ but I gotta go shoot ‘Need for Speed’ first,” he continued. “I’ma handle that and hopefully he’s still working because I got some time in between so I might jet out and go check him, play him some beats that I been working on. Now that I know he might need my help I might go in the studio and actually try to make some beats with him in mind and see what comes outta that.” (MTV)
In April, Kid detailed the motivation behind wanting to seek a new music direction.
“I’m announcing that I’m no longer on G.O.O.D Music,” Cudi revealed in an interview. “This is something that no one knows, really, but I’m no longer on G.O.O.D Music. … I could never get tired of Kanye but we were talking on the phone the other day, these are things I’ve been wanting to talk to him about, starting my own direction and he got it because he’s trying to start his new path, trying new things as an artist and he was just like, ‘Man, I feel you.’ … There’s no beef, there’s no problems with anyone on the label. It’s all love.” (Power 106)
