Aftermath protégé Kendrick Lamar is reportedly banking on the Drake-assisted "Poetic Justice" anthem to help follow-up his "Swimming Pools (Drank)" buzz by making it his next official single.
According to reports, their joint effort will also get accompanied with a music video.

And you will be happy to know that’s none other than the Drake featured ‘Poetic Justice’, produced by Scoop DeVille. The song contains a sample of ‘Any Time, Any Place’ as performed by Janet Jackson and is one of the more popular cuts from the album. We can also confirm that they’re currently planning to shoot a music video for the single, the follow up to the top 10 radio hit ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’. Good choice? (HHNM)
Last week, Kendrick made headlines after a Los Angeles show got cut short by police.
“Swimming Pools” rapper Kendrick Lamar, gets his mic cut off and his speakers shut down as local authorities forced a stop to his free concert at the Staples Center in L.A., home court for the Los Angeles Lakers. K-Dot tweeted about the secret show on Friday, November 16 after a Lakers game which then instantly drew an unexpected huge number of spectators at the corner of 12th and Figueroa that apparently was too chaotic for the cops’ peace and order standards. The surprise show was part of the musician’s gig for Yahoo!’s Crash Concerts and came on the eve of his “good kid, m.A.A.d city” release. A massive crowd of eager fans and bystanders swarmed the L.A. streets after hearing news of the live performance and in no time, the number of people exceeded the limit allowed by the city. Not only loved by fans, but fellow hip-hop artists like Game have co-signed Lamar’s talent.
He compared him to one of hip-hop’s most respected MCs. “Kendrick is like our West Coast Nas, so to speak–lyrically amazing,” he said, while warning other rappers not to mess with him. “I hope no one ever beefs or tries to attack him lyrically. You will definitely lose. His mind is crazy.” Kendrick reminds him of someone else from Compton. “His career is real reminiscent of my early start, minus the bandana. Kendrick is neutral in this. Since dropping last month, the California rapper’s new LP has sold over 370,000 copies.
