Nominated in nearly 15 categories, K. Dot stole the show after picking up notable awards including “Album of the Year.”

The full winner list of 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards has been revealed. Kendrick Lamar, who competed in 14 categories, was the biggest winner with five awards that include Album of the Year for his newest album “good kid, m.A.A.d city”. The Compton rapper then took home Sweet 16 and Best Collabo awards for “F**kin’ Problems”, his collaboration with A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and Drake. At the annual event, Lamar was also named Lyricist of the Year and MVP of the Year. (Ace Showbiz)

Young Money’s Drake also managed to win a few categories at this year’s ceremony.

Drake, who wasn’t present at the ceremony which was held on September 28 in Atlanta, earned himself multiple awards as well. The Canadian rapper won awards for Best Hip-Hop Video, Track of the Year and People’s Champ Award for “Started From the Bottom”, the smashing hit off his “Nothing Was the Same” album. (Ace Showbiz)

Lamar showcased his rhyming skills with a highly anticipated freestyle.

He killed “Control.” And Kendrick Lamar once again proved why he’s untouchable during his cypher at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Following his fellow TDE members SchoolBoy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and Isaiah Rashad, the Compton MC stepped to the mic and left a bloody path in his wake. He took subliminal shots at Drake (“Nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes”) and showed who’s boss (“Hold up, wait a minute, your career ain’t sh*t unless you got some Kendrick in it”). This year’s awards show was also highlighted by artists making fashion statements.

Mike WiLL posed on the red carpet with Future — and the guys showed off graphic sweatshirts and classic shades. Lil Mama showed off some bright green hair! Her colorful new ‘do was a fun look for her — and it really played up her colorful suit. Nelly kept his look simple, dressing up his sweatshirt and bright yellow kicks with black leather shorts for a sporty style. B.o.B. rocked an extra long tunic over bandana printed pants. His round-framed shades and combat boots gave the look some added edge. Kendrick Lamar kept his signature style for the red carpet, looking hot in an ombre plaid button down shirt. He posed with Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock – and they all looked like they were having a blast on the red carpet. (Hollywood Life)
