Karrueche Tran Says It’s Deeper Than Rihanna: “The Man I Loved Betrayed Me”

Model Karrueche Tran's long-awaited interview with the Oprah Winfrey Network finally aired this weekend and showcased her dishing on ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

In her sit-down with interviewer Iyanla Vanzant, Tran talked about feeling betrayed by Breezy.

“I feel hurt because the man I loved betrayed me. I will never again let a man disrespect me. I want my voice to be heard – I want to clear it up and tell my story and tell my side,” Tran said. “I saw a different side of Chris that not everybody sees. Although he’s done whatever he’s done, he’s a good-hearted person. He’s a big kid with a big heart that’s been through some things.” (OWN)

Iyanla recently said Karrueche would reveal just how much she had supported Brown in the interview.

“The thing that was so surprising to me is how protective and forgiving she is of Chris. She repeatedly offered that he is only human and humans make mistakes. She said she knows he loves her and she just wishes things could change for him. I think I am a bit more troubled by his behavior than she is. I am disturbed that he has such a gift and blessing and continues to dishonor God, himself and women with no accountability. Prison was punishment and punitive. It did not teach responsibility or accountability for his behavior or as the steward of a gift. Anyway, she made no attempt to bash him and will probably come across as naive and relatable” (S2S Magazine)

Prior to letting Vanzant back in to complete their chat, recent reports claimed Tran caught feelings when ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s name came up.

Things went south when Tran was asked about her relationship with Brown. Vanzant asked if she slept with Chris from the get-go because he was a superstar. When she explained they didn’t sleep together until months after they met, she claims the interviewer didn’t believe her and kept pressing. (TMZ)

Vanzant also asked Tran about her motivation for dating Brown after his publicized attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Vanzant also grilled Karrueche about her decision to date Chris in the wake of beating Rihanna. She responded that everyone deserved a second chance. The interviewer then challenged Karrueche, saying Chris had cheated on her but she still took him back. At that point … Karrueche’s manager kicked Vanzant and the OWN crew out of her house. (TMZ)
