According to reports, initial plans were for the Yeezus tour to continue Sunday (October 20) night in Canada.

Kanye West’s second Yeezus tour stop was supposed to be tonight at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. However, the arena has announced via Twitter that the show has now been postponed, instead taking place on October 31. This means that the Yeezus tour’s second date will be on Tuesday, October 22, in San Jose at the SAP Center. The first date of the Yeezus tour took place last night in Seattle. Kanye is being accompanied on tour by Kendrick Lamar for most of the dates on his first solo tour in five years. (Complex)

The Vancouver venue issued a statement to confirm the new tour date.

“Tonight’s @KanyeWest show has been postponed to October 31st. #YeezusTour,” a tweet read October 20 afternoon. (Rogers Arena’s Twitter)

Details of what all went down last night (October 19) at the Yeezus launch date have bubbled online this weekend.

Kanye West kicked off his Yeezus world tour in Seattle on Saturday night, According to reports on Twitter and Kanye To The, he played a 27-song, two-hour set which encompassed material from his entire discography. Included were the live debuts of Yeezus tracks “Hold My Liquor, “I’m In It”, and “Guilt Trip”, in addition to “Street Lights” from 808s and Heartbreak. He closed his show with the dynamic one-two-three-four punch of “Jesus Walks” into “Flashing Lights” into “All of the Lights” into “Bound 2?. (Consequence of Sound)

Prior to Yeezy coming out and facing off with a Jesus lookalike, West Coast sensation Kendrick Lamar opened up the night.

The stage design included a giant mountain on which Kanye rapped from. An equally massive video screen above the mountain flashed elaborate visuals, including animations of the rapper. He was frequently joined by a group of backing dancers, and at one point, a Jesus Christ look-alike also took the stage alongside Yeezus. It’s worth noting that the show began two hours later, reportedly due to an equipment truck being stolen. Kendrick Lamar served as opener and performed a nine-song set. (Consequence of Sound)

A few weeks ago, Ye spoke on Lamar joining him on tour.

“Yeah, I don’t do diss records,” Ye replied when asked how he would have reacted to Lamar’s verse ten years ago. “[The upcoming tour with Kendrick?] Yeah, it’s one hundred percent, it’s one hundred percent. I’m just looking forward to the opportunity to speak to this brother as much as possible. That, those conversations are going to be more than I even said right here. Because he’s one of our future messengers. You know? And I’m going to give him those jewels.” (BBC Radio 1)
