Although Yeezy is expected to out-sell his urban competition, the rapper could see his number one positioning downgraded by singer Susan Boyle‘s Gift.

The Black Eyed Peas’ Interscope album, The Beginning and Columbia’s Glee Cast Vol. 4 appear to be the top debuts on next week’s chart, based on one-day sales figures. Both appear set to bow in the 110-125k range, which won’t be enough to unseat whoever sits at #1 next week. That could be Miss Kris Kringle herself, Susan Boyle, if her Gift keeps on giving in the 225k-250k range, which should be enough to beat the likes of Kanye West and Nicki Minaj in their second week. Other Top 50 debuts should be registered by J/RMG’s Jazmine Sullivan (55-60k), Def Jam/IDJ’s Chrisette Michele (40-45k) and Reprise’s AC stalwart Eric Benet (30-35k). (HITS Daily Double)

Ye’s Fantasy managed to topple its competition by nearly selling 500,000 in a seven-day time span.

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy topped the chart this week in the No. 1 spot. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Yeezy’s follow-up to 2008’s 808’s & Heartbreak sold 497,100 records after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T recently talked to SOHH about Ye’s new album receiving a rare XXL rating by XXL Magazine.

“Kanye is well-deserving of an XXL rating, whether he got it or not,” Pusha told SOHH. “Rapping? People aren’t f*cking with him rapping. Musically? People aren’t f*cking with him. This is like he’s pushing the bar. He’s doing all of this awesome sh*t and at the same time he’s keeping [a straight] face about it. That within itself says ‘I win.’ He wins, with the XXL rating and all of that, he wins.” (SOHH)

XXL credited Yeezy’s ability to uplift and direct hip-hop as part of its reason behind the rating.

“The end result is a body of work that pushes hip-hop in a bold new direction and puts Mr. West back at the forefront of the culture once again, leaving nothing more to be said, other than G.O.O.D.-a** job, Kanye.” – XXL (XXL rating) (XXL Magazine)
