New information on rap star Kanye West's highly-anticipated adidas sneaker launch have surfaced online including the speculated name of the kicks and motivation behind them.
According to reports, the new kicks are still slated to drop this summer and will be called YEEZi.

Footage of Mr. West speaking on his upcoming sneaker launch has also surfaced.
“Today I’m not coming to you saying, hey I’m gonna be the next Walt Disney or the next Steve Jobs, my usual stuff that I usually say. I’m saying… with this opportunity to create, I feel like I can be myself.” (Miss Info TV)
An initial clip of Kanye hinting at his sneaker release landed online yesterday.
Kanye West made a huge announcement during his performance at the adidas Global Brand Conference in Germany Monday (April 7). The mercurial rapper told the audience that his sneaker collaboration with adidas Originals will arrive this summer. “You will see the next Yeezys in June,” he told the enthusiastic crowd. West’s friend and fellow designer Ibn Jasper posted a photo on Instagram with the same quote except he’s calling them “YEEZi” with an i. (The Boom Box)
Despite massive success with his Yeezy Nike sneakers, Ye promised his adidas debut would still meet high expectations a few months ago.
“Yeah, 100 percent, it’s going to be dope, everything is going to be dope,” Kanye said when asked if his Adidas debut sneakers will have as much appeal as his limited edition Nike Yeezy collection. “It’s just like having a record deal, simple as that. What if I would have been stopped at The College Dropout and I never got the chance to make ‘Gold Digger’ and I never got the chance to make ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ and I never got the chance to get to ‘N*ggas In Paris’ – with Nike, they were trying to confine the idea. They always send celebrity marketing to me and I’m like, ‘I’m a designer, I’m a creator, why don’t you just let me create?
