Kanye West recently revealed that he is devastated by the alleged domestic violence incident involving Chris Brown and Rihanna.
This morning Kanye West spoke on the alleged violent incident that involved his labelmate Rihanna and resulted in the arrest of her boyfriend Chris Brown.
“She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do any and everything to help her in any situation,” he told E! News‘ Ryan Seacrest. “I don’t want to speak more into the specifics with that situation, but all I’ll say is it’s just so devastating…I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.” (E! Online)
T.I., who has collaborated with Rihanna in the past and recently filmed a movie with Brown, said he spoke to Chris Brown since his arrest.
“I spoke to him today,” he said. “He’s cool, you know. He’s a little concerned about the situation, but he’s still the same Chris. I told him, ‘This too shall pass.’ We’re celebrities, we’re entertainers, but we’re still human–all of us. Don’t expect us not to make mistakes, because we will.” (Last Call With Carson Daily)
As previously reported, Chris Brown turned himself in to the LAPD on Sunday evening following reports of an alleged assault.
Brown was booked on felony criminal threats on Sunday and released on $50,000 bail. He could reportedly face additional domestic-violence counts should the district attorney decide to press charges; the D.A.’s office has not yet received the case for review. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 5. (MTV)
