Just weeks after Young Money's Nicki Minaj playfully said she would vote for Republican nominee Mitt Romney in this fall's presidential election, Kanye West has taken direct aim at President Barack Obama's opponent with the new Cruel Summer LP.

On the album’s opening track, “To the World,” Mr. West swipes at Romney for recently making headlines over allegedly not paying his taxes.

G.O.O.D. Music’s anticipated Cruel Summer album won’t officially be released until September 18, but the LP leaked to the Web on Thursday, and in addition to that off-the-wall feature from R. Kelly on the opening track “To the World,” ‘Ye throws a quick jab at Mitt Romney. Oh, and he repeats it, just to make sure no one misses it. Including a quick shout-out to Rick Ross and his hit “Hold Me Back,” West spits, “I be all up in Goldman Sachs like these n—as tryna hold me back, these n—as tryna hold me back/ I’m just trying to protect my stacks/ Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax, Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax.” (MTV)

As of late, Romney has been under fire for questionable tax returns.

Democrats say Romney, who accumulated a substantial fortune during a nearly two-decade career in consulting and private equity, needs to show voters what tax rate he paid and provide more details on financial assets held in offshore bank accounts. Romney faced similar pressure from his Republican primary opponents last winter. Citing privacy, the former Massachusetts governor has promised to release two years of his tax returns, but no more. He has made his 2010 return public and says he will release his full 2011 tax filings before Election Day. (CNN)

Comedian Iman Crosson recently poked fun at Romney with his new “I Don’t Like” spoof.

Well, someone has found a way to connect President Obama to Chicago’s emerging school of gangsta rap. Comedian Iman Crosson, who has gained fame for his Obama impression under the named “Alphacat,” recorded this video of Obama delivering his Democratic National Convention acceptance speech to the tune of Chief Keef‘s “I Don’t Like.” “Romney’s campaign…that’s that stuff I don’t like/Lyin’ Republicans…that’s that stuff I don’t like/The Tea Party…that’s that stuff I don’t like/Mitt Romney’s face/That’s that..that’s that stuff I don’t like.” (NBC Chicago)

While Yeezy is apparently supporting the Chicago-bred president, his Watch the Throne partner Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter are holding a fundraiser next week.

Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé will host a fund-raiser for President Obama at the “Watch the Throne” rapper’s 40/40 Club on Sept. 18. We hear the event will be intimate and capped at 100 guests who will shell out $40,000 per ticket to dine with the commander-in-chief and hip-hop royal. Earlier the same day, Obama is scheduled to attend a reception where families can pose for a photo with him for a $12,500 contribution. A rep for Jay-Z’s West 25th Street club had no comment. We’re told the campaign stop will be Obama’s last in New York before the election. But does this mean the president will miss Jay’s concerts at Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center at the end of September?
