G.O.O.D Music head Kanye West has delved into what wedding plans are on deck a week after asking reality television superstar girlfriend Kim Kardashian for her hand in marriage.
While a wedding won’t go down until next summer, Ye said finding the right ring ultimately delayed his publicized proposal.
“She knew I was eventually going to ask her to marry me, but I just had to get that ring right,” Ye revealed. ” I worked with four different jewelers. Three rings were made. Only one actually hit the finger with Lorraine [Schwartz]. She came through. That ring was less than four hours old by the time I gave it to her. … [Wedding date?] Hopefully next summer. For me, it ain’t no surprises. All I know is fighter jets.” (“Big Boy’s Neighborhood”)
Despite the growing expectations, Kim recently revealed they haven’t even started to plan out how the special day will go down.
“We honestly haven’t had a moment to talk about it or even breathe, so we haven’t really talked about it, but whatever he wants,” she told PEOPLE, adding that the only sure thing is that stepdad Bruce Jenner will walk her down the aisle. Donning a white lace dress she purchased in Paris while pregnant, Kardashian said the proposal was an “absolute, complete surprise.” Even her family – who had gathered at San Francisco’s AT&T Park – assumed it was for a surprise birthday party. “I was shaking so much, shaking the entire time,” she said. “Like, ‘Is this really happening?’ It was like an out-of-body experience.” (People)
Some reports have suggested KimYe would rush their wedding date.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will not have a long engagement — sources close to the couple tell TMZ the engagement will be very short and the wedding will happen quickly. We’re told it’s Kanye more than Kim that wants the wedding to happen STAT. As for what kind of wedding … we’re told it’s going to be “a blow out.” But Kim and Kanye aren’t all smiles. Sweet Yeezus! Kanye West swooped into San Francisco Monday night and proposed to Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday, E! News reported early Tuesday morning. The rapper, 36, popped the question to the mother of his child at AT&T Park, which was rented out for Kardashian’s big day, the site reported. Having received future mother-in-law Kris Jenner‘s blessing, West proposed to Kardashian with a 15-carat diamond ring made by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. (New York Daily News)
