Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has opened up about his romance woes and how vital it is for him to have a child to help carry on his legacy.
Yeezy believes finding a woman who is willing to have his back through good and bad times is most important.
“I’m a hopeless romantic and I’m looking and trying to decide who the mother of my child will be. It’s not going to be based off a whim of being in love; she has to bring a certain level to the table. I want to be married, I want that super-dope counterpart, that one woman, but she has to be super-fresh, super-smart and not overwhelmed by her career. I’ll find her, maybe I’ll be 38 … maybe I’m not fully who I am yet, maybe that’s why I haven’t found her … The main quality is that you know that this person will ride or die for you. Whether she’s mad at you, whether she’s with you or nor, she still loves you, she stills bigs you up in any circle. She doesn’t talk down about you to other people. In August, Kanye West talked with radio host Angie Martinez about his two-year run with former lover Amber Rose.
“Yeah man, it was an amazing time and it came to an end,” West said. “One of the greatest things that she showed me was just to be a nicer person because she was so disconnected from the concept of celebrity when I first met her…A celebrity could be talking to people crazy and everyone’s used to it at the label like, ‘He’s wildin’ out. It doesn’t matter.’ [Amber] be like, ‘What?! You just talked to your fans so crazy right now. I’m not even talking to you right now.’ … I grew from that. “They are still good friends,” a source tells Us. “Kanye is consumed with recording his comeback record in Hawaii and had to shut it all off. When he’s in work mode, he can’t handle a relationship. He told Amber he needs to devote everything right now to his craft…. I wouldn’t say it’s over for good [for West and Rose.] It’s always off-and-on when it’s convenient for these two. Kanye West has started seeing former Pussycat Dolls star Melody Thornton. The singer confirmed the romance on her blog on Saturday by posting a picture of her with the rapper and with designer Karl Lagerfeld at New York Fashion Week. ‘Can you guess which one is my new “boyfriend”?’ she writes. Kanye, 33, and Melody, 25, are thought to have been dating for a couple of weeks. (Now Magazine)
