G.O.O.D. Music’s Malik Yusef recently said Kanye’s mystery LP was taking shape.

Yusef would not divulge any titles (“Your favorite title may not even make it on the album”), but says that West has “20 finished songs.” The musician claims that recording with West this time around has been smoother than Yeezus. “We fought over Yeezus every day,” he says, laughing. “There was no friendly disagreements. It was definitely a war. It’s ‘I don’t give a f*ck, Malik. It’s a Kanye album, not a Malik Yusef album.’ Kanye’s kicked me off the label eight times.” (Rolling Stone)

The rap superstar suffered a leak of his “All Day” track over the summer.

A rough version of Kanye West’s new single, “All Day,” has leaked. The unofficial version sounds to have been recorded by phone. Within a recently released GQ cover story, Kanye admitted being influenced by longtime friend Jay Z for the “All Day” record.

“I think just my usual pattern is like that. It’s like a pendulum. The pendulum gains momentum by swinging in the other direction. Even lyrically, I think about certain lines that I say on my new single, which is called “All Day,” that usually Jay would say, but Jay’s not on there. So I say, “All day, n*gga, it’s Ye, n*gga. Shopping for the winter, it’s just May, n*gga. Ball so hard, man, this sh*t cray, n*gga. You ain’t getting money unless you got eight figures.” Right? Jay would have said that. And then eventually I would have came in with, like, whatever I come in with.” (GQ)
