Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has raised eyebrows this week after vowing to keep his lips sealed and sway away from controversy heading into 2014.
Footage of Ye going into a 27-minute rant and proclaiming to change his ways has surfaced.
With less than a week to go until New Year’s Eve, Kanye West has already made a New Year’s resolution — and it may shock you. The big-mouthed rapper announced he would “keep his mouth shut” and avoid controversial comments “for six months, at least” in his latest rant during the last stop of his Yeezus Tour in Toronto on December 23. “Everything I”m saying that’s not allowed, soak it in right now,” he warned fans early on in the 27-minute rant. “…This might be the last time y’all hear me talk sh*t for a long time. Might be another like six months. At least. You’re just gonna have to run back the interviews and sh*t if you wanna hear some realness!” (RadarOnline)
Ye also promised to no longer reference former business partner Nike.
“I’m gonna tell y’all right now,” he said, “that all of the ideas, what they call the rants the streams of consciousness that I express, I told y’all, save those tapes and everything because I’ve decided to completely focus everything in 2014, on new ideas and on creative outlets. I’m not [going to] ever bring up Nike again, and the only way I’ll bring them up is in a positive light … I’ll never bring up the Grammys again in a negative light, because I actually appreciate the 21 Grammys that I did win.” (RadarOnline)
Outside of rants, West’s fiancée Kim Kardashian jumped onto her Instagram page Wednesday (December 25) with various holiday-themed photos together.

The E! star took full advantage of the always-entertaining photo booth and shared a series of joyful black and white snapshots on her Instagram account. “Mi Familia,” the 33-year-old captioned one photo with fiancé Kanye West and younger sis Kylie Jenner. The trio is striking a somewhat serious pose as they stand close together and pout for the camera. (E! Online)
During a recent interview, Yeezy dished on just how much he loved and admired Kim.
“I don’t do her show because I don’t particularly like the way the producer shoots some of the shots. I’m very meticulous to that. I like to get a different [director of photography] or whatever,” Kanye said when asked about his lack of presence on Kim’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” show. “Y’all acting like this ain’t the most beautiful woman of all time, arguably of human existence. The top 10 of human existence. I don’t give a f*ck what type of jacket she got on.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)
