While details are still extremely scarce, Yeezy broke the speculated compilation album news Wednesday (October 19) night.

Last year, Ye kept fans on their toes by launching his G.O.O.D. Music Fridays allowing him to drop new records on a weekly basis.

“I would definitely be a part of that, because I’m still Getting Out Our Dreams,” GLC said earlier this week in New York. “Church! I think it’s a beautiful concept, because I’ve been doing that for the last two years on the Internet. Prior to me signing my deal with EMI, I had five or six different offers from labels. And with EMI, to be the first artist they did a deal with that doesn’t have a distribution history, man, it works.” (MTV)

Over the summer, Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music team officially inked a deal with Def Jam.

“G.O.O.D. Music is an exciting new chapter in the long and successful association of Kanye West and Island Def Jam,” said Universal Motown Group CEO Barry Weiss. “As a recording artist and a producer over the past eight years, there is no one who has made a greater impression on the game than Kanye. We look forward to working closely with the new and established artists that he will be bringing toG.O.O.D. Music, which is already off to an impressive start with Big Sean.” (Statement)

Island Def Jam Music Group President Steve Bartels also confirmed the power move.

“Kanye’s genius has been proven time and time again on records and onstage,” said Mr. Bartels. “He not only pours it out for himself, but he has made the difference with his presence on innumerable projects with other artists who are indebted to him. Kanye is an integral core member of the IDJ family, and G.O.O.D. Music continues his unselfish tradition of bringing along great new artists to the forefront.” (Statement)

G.O.O.D. Music artists and affiliates include Kanye West, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Common, Big Sean, Mos Def, GLC, Really Doe, Mr. Hudson, Cyhi Da Prynce, John Legend and more.
