Kanye West Pleads “Not Guilty” To Airport Scuffle Charges

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from his airport scuffle with a photographer last year in California.

Yeezy’s plea reportedly occurred late last week.

Kanye West has pleaded not guilty to battery charges. Kanye’s attorney Blair Berk snuck in under the radar and appeared on his behalf this past Friday (May 15). A pre-trial hearing has been set for July 15th. (Radar Online)

His partner, Don Crawley, also submitted a not guilty plea.

West’s road manager, Don Crawley, 33, who was charged with two counts of each of the above crimes, also pleaded not guilty through his attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley. (People)

Attorneys for both Ye and Crowley appeared in court last month before being granted an additional month for arraignment.

West’s lawyer went to court and won a delay for West’s arraignment for smashing a photog’s gear. The famous Blair Berk reps Kanye while Crowley is repped by prominent defense attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. (TMZ)

He was officially charged last March.

The rapper has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of vandalism, grand theft and battery stemming from a scuffle with a paparazzo at LAX in September 2008. Kanye’s manager Don Crawley was also charged with two counts each of vandalism, grand theft and battery. If convicted of all charges, West could face up to two years and six months in jail, while Crawley could face up to five years. (Extra TV)
