Yeezy resorted to his official website to premiere the eye-catching cover.

The last two days have been full of surprises for Kanye West fans. Following the worldwide debut of “New Slaves” and his performance on “SNL,” Mr. West has unveiled what appears to be the artwork for his sixth solo album Yeezus, available June 18. The unconventional cover looks like a melted gold object, possibly a Jesus piece. A piece of red duct tape is stuck to the side, with the title “Yeezus” handwritten with a Sharpie. The black-and-white CD shows behind the clear jewel case. The image was posted on ‘Ye’s official site along with a pre-order link, but it was later removed. (Rap-Up)

Ye’s celebrity girlfriend Kim Kardashian revealed the album will hit stores in less than a month Saturday (May 18) night.

Apparently, his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, is also part of his marketing team. She posted a photo on Instagram Saturday night showing the album artwork for Yeezus alongside a pair of the rapper’s Air Yeezy sneakers, which he designed for Nike. “#Yeezus #RedYeezy’s #SNL #Tonight #NewSlaves #YeezySeason #Donda #June18,” she captioned the image. While a tracklisting has yet to emerge, reports claim West Coast rap group Odd Future may appear on the LP.

Odd Future and Skrillex are both rumored to feature on the forthcoming new Kanye West album with members of Odd Future and producer Skrillex having recently joined West in the studio alongside MC Chief Keef and John Legend. It was also previously revealed that Daft Punk have also worked on tracks on the new album. (NME)

Earlier this month, speculation went haywire when Ye tweeted out a mysterious “June 18” date to his Twitter page.

After famously removing all his tweets, Kanye West has returned to the social media platform with a single post: “June Eighteen.” The rapper deleted his entire Twitter presence back in October 2012, so his new tweet could mean something big. There’s already rampant speculation about what the cryptic message might mean. Could it be the release of his new music? A tour? Or baby mama Kim Kardashian’s due date? (New York Post)
