Yeezy posted the unexpected Twitter message early Thursday (May 2).

To make the situation even more awkward, all of Ye’s tweets prior to his latest have been deleted.

Adding to the intrigue, West appears to have deleted his previous tweets to make room for the bare-bones bombshell, which was retweeted well over 10,000 times within an hour of its appearance. The rap superstar’s Twitter feed has nearly 10 million followers. (Los Angeles Times)

Some sites have speculated the date may have something to do with his baby on the way or even a possible tour.

After famously removing all his tweets, Kanye West has returned to the social media platform with a single post: “June Eighteen.” The rapper deleted his entire Twitter presence back in October 2012, so his new tweet could mean something big. There’s already rampant speculation about what the cryptic message might mean. Could it be the release of his new music? A tour? Or baby mama Kim Kardashian’s due date? (New York Post)

Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg announced the LP’s completion earlier in the week.

“I just heard that Def Jam had a listening last week and everyone at the label listened tothe album and loved it,” Rosenberg revealed during his morning show broadcast. “I heard it’s dark but really good. Yeah, [it’s dark and gritty]. I was told it’s dark. [2010’s My Beautiful] Dark Twisted Fantasy was dark too, I love when Kanye goes to that place.” (Hot 97)
