Yeezy feels the project will be centered on his personal joy and excitement toward the things in life that interest him alone.

“Everyone says all great art comes from pain but I think my greatest art comes from excitement and joy. It’s a completely different perspective about being extremely excited about stuff that is only cool to me,” West said in a recent Rolling Stone office visit. “Like, when I tweeted, ‘What’s your credenza game?’ I was very excited about that credenza…It was important to not be limited by the art form of rap but to have rap bring it to another level. Is it rap or is it poetry? Is it spoken word? Is it [a] speech?” (MTV)

Writing on Twitter last month, Ye surprised fans by deciding to recall the previously announced Good A** Job title.

“The album is no longer called “Good A** Job” I’m bouncing a couple of titles around now,” Kanye West revealed via his new Twitter page on Wednesday (July 28). (Kanye West’s Twitter)

Grand Hustle’s DJ Drama recently revealed T.I. would be involved on Ye’s new album.

“He just got back from Hawaii,” Drama told radio personality DJ Whoo Kid during a broadcast on Saturday (July 24) referring to T.I.. “He was out there with Kanye, working on Kanye’s album. [His] movie’s coming out August 27th. Takers.” (Radio Planet TV)

Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj is also reportedly featured on the album.

BET’s Executive Vice President of Entertainment and Music Programming Stephen Hill was one of the lucky few invited to hear Mr. West’s eagerly-anticipated new project. “He’s got a track with Nicki Minaj that’s so dope,” he exclusively revealed to Rap-Up.com. “You won’t believe it when you hear it.” The executive has heard four cuts from the album, tentatively titled Good A** Job. “He comes back unapologetic and his performance [at the BET Awards] was stellar, absolutely stellar,” he said. Hill described the direction as more reminiscent of the rapper’s first three albums. “It’s less like 808s & Heartbreak and more like Graduation.” (Rap-Up)

A confirmed release date for Kanye West’s new album has not yet been announced.
