In the clip, Yeezy, amongst other celebrities, dishes on what makes up Los Angeles to him.

30 Seconds To Mars just released a music video to “City Of Angels” during a recent concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The video and the song pay homage to Los Angeles, and features several monologues from celebrities who talk about why the city means so much to them outside of just being the location where they cut their teeth in the entertainment industry. One of the more prominent cameos in the video comes from Kanye West. Kanye talks about what Los Angeles means to him, referring to Crips and Bloods, muscle cars, and Snoop Dogg. Kanye also added that Los Angeles is where his mother passed prematurely, but at the same time is the birth place of his child, North West. (Complex)

Mr. West also offers an introspective take in the music video with some notable comments.

“People let their frustrations out on me. I love Kanye West. They say the opposite of that, but I’m not going to say that. I’m only going to say what I want to put into the universe.” “City Of Angels” is the fourth song off of 30 Seconds To Mars’ most recent album, Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams. Other cameos in the video include Lindsay Lohan and Selena Gomez. (Complex)

Back in 2010, the rock group and Kanye heated up the ‘net after reportedly hooking up for new tunes.

Last year, when 30 Seconds to Mars were still laboring on This Is War, more than a few eyebrows were raised when Kanye West posted a photo on his blog of him, Jared Leto and the Killers’ Brandon Flowers in the studio, where the trio had apparently just finished recording a “dope-ass song.” Later, Leto explained to MTV News that the “dope-ass song” was called “Hurricane,” and it featured West singing, minus the Auto-Tune he’d been dabbling with at the time (there was no mention of Flowers’ involvement). It sounded like a promising collaboration, but, sadly, fans never actually got to hear it: When This Is War hit stores, “Hurricane” was on there, but West’s work wasn’t. (MTV)

Outside of rock and rap, Kanye recently spoke on his love for girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

“Family time. It’s what Kim gave me. She gave me everything. She gave me a family. She gave me a support system,” Kanye said when asked if he takes time for himself away from always working. “She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find.” (BBC Radio 1)
