Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian-West are reportedly interested in getting involved in a man’s attempt to trade a pair of his Yeezy Boost sneakers for a kidney.
According to reports, KimYe will look out for 26-year-old Matt Neal if he’s able to pull through with a donor.
Kanye and Kim heard his story and were moved … they say if he ends up making the trade they’ll give him a brand new pair of the impossible to get pricey kicks. Now the tough news. Federal law makes it illegal for anyone to offer money or merchandise in return for an organ. There’s no wiggle room … the law is clear. (TMZ)
Neal revealed his health complication on Facebook earlier in the week.
He has since come forward to explain his shocking post.
“It started as a joke, but within an hour it turned into something way more serious,” he said in an interview on Friday. “I didn’t expect to get a kidney from a pair of Yeezys. I just want to stay alive. I have Yeezys, and I need a kidney, so I posted it.” (MLive)
