According to reports, Jay’s wife will lend her vocals for their “Lift Off” track.

If you thought “H.A.M” sucked and thought that Watch The Throne thing wasn’t happening anymore, think again. Kanye West and Jay-Z are preparing for “Lift Off,” the first single from their highly anticipated long-awaited collaborative album, and have snatched up Beyoncé and Bruno Mars for the Jeff Bhasker-produced number impacting radio and your iTunes music library sooner than you think. Yeah, that definitely explains the random trips to Paris. (Complex)

Producer Young Guru provided fans with an update on the LP in March.

“Right now, I’m really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish this Watch The Throne album because the world needs to hear it,” Guru said in an interview. “It just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished…Kanye takes what [contributing producers do] and adds on to it and I think that’s his genius. I say this all the time ‘Kanye records are never the same twice, while he’s making them because they always grow.” (VIBE)

A month prior, G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean spoke to SOHH about the highly anticipated album.

“Man, I was in the studio with Jay and Ye about a week ago,” Sean told SOHH. “I heard some songs. It’s gonna be good man, it’s gonna be history. [Talib Kweli heard] ‘Black Excellence.’ To be honest, I think the most unexpected part is kind of out the way with ‘H.A.M.’ That was probably the most unexpected. That was probably the last kind of track I was expecting to hear from Jay and Ye but they definitely have some tricks up their sleeves. And they have some types of songs that you would think they might have. They really did a good job at covering all aspects, from the songs I’ve heard.” (SOHH)

Talib Kweli recently hinted at one of the featured tracks he got to hear.

“I heard one record, man, I don’t even know what it’s called,” Kweli added. “It’s about black history. And it’s like, Kanye and Jay are really on some black history sh*t. The beat is tough. You know, if you’re spending time hating on Kanye and Jay-Z — you’re missing out — and you could be smacking yourself in the future, like, ‘What was I thinking?'” (The Source)

As of now, there is no official release date for Watch the Throne.
